And financial profligacy ....

Circus OZ are appearing in the SpiegelTent for the next couple of weeks. [livejournal.com profile] bunnikins and I have tickets for Nov. 27 (Saturday). I'm mentioning this largely so that I remember (or at least so rabbit remembers ;), but also in case any of you are interested. Tickets are cheaper than the usual Circus Oz tickets, too - they're $30 each for this one.

I was looking at that date too, and I'm hoping that there will still be tickets left for that show after I get paid next Wed xxxx (crossing of fingers).

*blink* I was joking! But yes, I am - tell me how much and I'll wing it your way when the cash gnomes have left my purse.

Meh.
I just went ahead and got a full one - at $30, I'm not fussed.

So, I imagine the concession price would have been about $15, but if you'd rather consider it a gift, that's fine too.

You being less employed than I am at the moment, and all.

Hang on - aren't you out of work?

Technically.
However.

Savings for Venice, plus redundancy payout, minus current credit card debt (and the math on whether paying that all off now is a good idea just changed, because liquidity is probably a good thing) = 6 months worth of rent, food and bills in the bank. It may not be the most exciting 6 months, but it's actually not far off 6 months of take-home pay.

Actually, paying off the credit card probably still makes sense - I poay it off at the moment at $300 a month, and that's factored into that 6 months worth. If I pay it off now, then I lose $2000, but gain $300 a month for 6 months - so the interest is probably in my favour.

*shrug*

So yeah, I'm unemployed, technically. But, uh, unworried by it. Even if I spend 3 or 4 grand in venice, (and the tickets and accomodation are already paid for), then I can live for 6 months from today, if I stop buying tools and circus tickets for people. So, given that I've been out of work for ... 2 weeks in my life, I'm not fussed.

Ok, you're sorted. Cash whenever, or, like I said to Halo, you can consider it an early christmas present.
