Shrek 2 was a great movie. In particular, it had a great soundtrack. Tom Waits and Nick Cave aside, I had a particular soft spot for Antonio & Eddie doing _La Vida Loca_, and that great version of _Holding Out For a Hero_ by Jennifer Saunders. So I did me a little googling to find out who did the original, so I can compare, because even the dubious Frou Frou version from Shrek is a decent track. And I'm not so much amused by it being originally performed by Bonnie Tyler - that makes sense - but that it was written by Jim Steinman.

He who wrote _Bat Out Of Hell_.

Which makes me think the Fairy GodScrubber should use it for a Karaoke number ....

Errrr.... Let me sleep on it.

Come next week, ply yourself with a fine cask of pork-infused goon, be part of my mongoloid karaoke finals cheering squad, and I'll sing a very special hankie-wielding ballad in your scrubberlicious honour.

FWIW, Steinman was also heavily involved in Sisters of Mercy's "Floodland".
