It is, of course, an article of faith in our social group that [livejournal.com profile] bunnikins is not allowed firearms. Or, in fact, pointy sticks.

So we went shooting, at a pistol range in Flemington.

To cut a long story short, they let you shoot 32 rounds, from 3 guns - a glock 9mm, a tenfoglio .38, and a winchester .357 magnum. And [livejournal.com profile] dr_wally and [livejournal.com profile] one_dreamy_girl and I, we did ok - a few nines, some 8s, but a respectable number of 10s, from 5 metres. Go us. [livejournal.com profile] bunnikins scored, technically, either 31 or 32 tens, from 32 rounds. Even better, her last 6 shots (from the .357 magnum) were at 10 metres, and the single "9" from that lot of 6 was well and truly breaking the line between 9 and 10, making it technically a 10. The other 9 was from her first magazine, and it was hard to tell if it was breaking the line, or if the 10 right on the other side had broken the line. If it wasn't a ten, it was literally a millimetre away from a perfect 32/32.

For her first set wth the .357, she said "Hey, I've taken out the '1' in the '10', I should shoot out the '0'". And the range supervisor said "No point - you've made such a mess of the centre of the ten, it'll just flap about and let the bullet straight through."

After her first couple of shots at 10 metres, she said to the range supervisor "I must be going wide - I can't see them hitting the target.". And his response was "No, I told you, they're going right through the big hole you've made in the middle."

I stepped up to shoot after her, and the supervisor said "Tough act to follow, eh? Never mind. It's usually the women who are freakishly good at this."

This is my girlfriend. Be nice to her, because she's a freakishly good shot with large calibre handguns.

I'm terrified at the thought of Megan with a gun, but also strangely fascinated. If you go again, give me a call would you? :)

Will do.
It'll be soon - possibly next weekend. Apparently, I've created a monster.

This rule should also apply to slingshots. Oh yes.

I don't think it needs to, anymore. Why would she want a slingshot, when she could have a .38 semiautomatic?

*sigh*

So, we're taking her to the Melbourne Show to win Everything Big And Fluffy, yes?

Damn fine plan. Apparently as a child she was a good shot with an air rifle.

But now she's got a taste for the Magnum .357 - I don't think air rifles will cut it anymore :)

I am always nice to [livejournal.com profile] bunnikins anyway.

The real reason to be nice to her now is if you have someone who would make an excellent subject for target practice ...

Strangers on a Train here we come ... bawahhhaaa

It's official the [livejournal.com profile] bunnikins comic must be drawn. Superheroes and demonic beasts of hell beware...

So what is the gun-wielding dread pirate rabbit's outfit? Will John Woo direct your first movie?
