Most frustrating thing ever. When you're chatting with someone about the k3wl, l33t cutting edge stuff you're working on, and you say "I can't tell you the details, because then I'd have to kill you", and they say "It's email, isn't it?", and you say "No, dick, email is for lusers, *I* choose to reinvent Usenet. Again. Muahahaha!". Which is funny right up until you realise that actually, now that you think about it, Usenet (well, nntp), actually solves 90% of your problems, and the remaining 10% are a fairly simple client side hack.

I hate that. On the one hand, now I don't have to reinvent usenet. On the other hand .... Fuck!

In other news, you know you've been watching too much farscape when your immediate reaction is, in fact "Frell you. Email is for lusers ...." I blame spark_au, of course - and I shall in fact from henceforth call him "Sparky", in retaliation. But it's great background music while soldering.

And it has Claudia Black in that peacekeeper outfit. Mm.
