So the lovely BayStack that is the core of the home nyetwork has this cool feature called "multilink trunking". Basically, one can group four ports to talk to a single device at four times the speed of a single port. (theoretically. YMMV, etc.) So. Apparently, linux can be set up with multiple cards to take advantage of this. huzzah! (because I have a few 10/100 cards kicking around.)
Anyone know *how*? Googling for linux + multilink gets me a whole lot of multilink PPP results - not what I want at all.
It seems wasteful to go buy a gigabit switch when I could have 400 Mbs from the main server without it.
{update} ifenslave, apparently, is my friend. huzzah for those clever linux boffins!
