So, frisbee. We had enough for 4v4 (though it was again too hot to play), with 3 or 4 people sitting around, and then another 4 or 5 turned up. That makes ... lots of people!
Which means a lot of you have been keeping the first two rules of frisbee club. Keep it up. I expect to see even more of you next week. As the weather gets cooler, we might even play some real ultimate.
And if you go to the gym for 2 hours before frisbee, it makes the first five minutes of frisbee seem like a walk in the park, but you go rapidly downhill from there.
ObIron:
D/B shoulder presses: 3x15 @25 - just. The left shoulder really is flakier than the right. Not painful, thank goddess, but flakier. (motorcycle accident some 6 or 7 years ago - cracked the bone on the actual ball of the joint. In addition to a wrestling accident some 13 odd years ago, but that was just a broken collarbone).
Seated Row: 3x15 @110
Hack Squats: 3x 15. I backed off from a 10 kg on each side to 5 kg on each side, but went deeper - so deep that I actually grounded the machine a couple of times. I was aiming for butt cheeks to ankles, which I got quite a few times in the first set, but by the 3rd set I was lucky to get much past 90 degrees. Hack squats are weird. Hopefully soon I'll have enough confidence in my knees to squat without the machine.
Bicep curls: 3x15 @30
Tricep pushdowns: 3x15 @ 70. These were a killer today - I could barely get the bar down to start the set, but once it was there, I just about stumbled through 3 sets.
D/B bench presses - 15/15/12 @ 40 . Sorely disappointed I didn't make 3x15, but pretty damn close, and given the weight and the workout I did yesterday, I'm not so disappointed. It's all better than it was a week ago.
Then topped that all off with 20 minutes on the treadmill at a decent speed, for me, and then abs - hovers, oblique crunches and leg raises. Then frisbee.
Man, it felt good. I need to start gymming 5 days a week. I've been letting it drop to 3 recently, and not evenly spaced. No point going three days running then not going fo four days. I should convince one of the gymrats from work to come with me - I'm sure having a gym buddy would help.
