Never thought I'd see the day...
Nov. 9th, 2003 11:59 amIt's been a week since I had coffee.
I think I need a little blue chip when it's been a month. I just keep telling myself "One day at a time...".
And drinking lots of tea :)
Well, more tea than I used to, but as many cups of tea as I used to have coffee, so my caffeine intake is way down.
Oddly, the last couple of days (once the withdrawal symptoms and headaches wore off), I've had more energy and been more awake than when I was hooked. To be expected, I suppose. It finally being summer helps, methinks.
The unexpected side (though understandable in hindsight), is how much it makes me want a cigarette.

this... damned if I can think of it though.

Date: 2003-11-08 06:59 pm (UTC)I also find that cutting caffeine out makes it easier to sleep. Not just easier to get to sleep, but easier to stay that way, and easier to wake up in the morning feeling like the sleeping-time was actually useful, and easier to cope with the fact that it's morning (or mid-afternoon, as the case may be).
I'm drinking small amounts of caffeinated stuff again now because I need the extra kick-along it can provide if you aren't consuming obscene amounts of the stuff. When I get my energy back I'll drop it again until next time.
