Tinkering...

This is, as the page says, a discussion a few of us have been having lately. I'm in the process of writing a proper html poll/survey page, but in the meantime, I'd like feedback from anyone who's interested, either on the subject matter, or on the poll and questions I should be asking. Whether you're in Melbourne or not.

I'm definitely interested, but not sure whether I have anything to offer. Which is to say, I'd happily teach anyone and everyone how to cook or adapt recipes, but I'm not sure that this is a skill most people feel they are missing - takeaway is too easy. (Then again, that's probably caused by your skills, tools and time trifecta, too...)

(Which also leads me to wonder how many people are out there who have amazing skills that they don't necessarily think of as valuable and teachable to others? I mean, I rather suspect that I can organise just about anything I turn my hand to at this point, but I'm not sure that's a teachable skill. And then there are thoroughly impractical skills, like music...)

Do you actually want answers to your survey at this point, or just things to add to it?

(I've been informally bartering things for years, of course - mostly food in exchange for driving services. There's a lot to be said for a bit of barter economy!)

Sorry, this is a little disjointed; I'm watching my email out of the corner of my eye, waiting for permission to submit a grant application.
