Transport!

Anyone have a pushbike I can borrow for a week or so in Melbourne? Doesn't have to be flash, just functional, preferably with a good lock.

If you get really stuck i have a junker or 2 that you could use. Note i say if you are really stuck as the structural integrity and functionality of said machines are questionable at best...

Cool. I'll see about Renee's, since that's where we're staying, but I'll keep you in mind. Thanks!

Do keep in mind that Cam hates gears and will have not any truck with them. He has been brainwashed by a peculiar subset of maniacs around the area.

He has a shaft drive? That could be interesting.

singlies; front and back. No shifters.

Which technically is a gear....

I would have to ask Nigel, but we have 2 bikes, although I expect mine would be too small for you.

You're welcome to borrow mine - it's quite dormant!

I've got Neef's old one which if a little too big for me with the seat all the way down, and in good nick (partly due to shameless infrewquency of use, cough). You're free to it if you like, I could even make the 6km ride to personally deliver it to Renee's :)

That sounds ideal! It'll be the right size, it's not depriving anyone else, and I seem to recall working on it in the past. Lovely, ta!

If you do, can I pinch the bracket for holding on the bike pump (which I shamelessly hung onto)?

Hahaha, sure.

[identity profile] p-cat.livejournal.com 2008-12-11 05:26 am (UTC)(link)
Sorry for being so mercenary!

No problem, you ought to've asked sooner, I haven't even used it. The first time I bought a pump to fit it, it was nicked about a week later, and I never bothered to replace it.

I'll get home Sunday night as well, so could bring it over on Monday / Tuesday for you? And we could all eat things together, if you guys aren't totally destroyed from the flight? I can't believe it's been almost exactly a year since I saw you. (I'm a little disturbed that Christmas has become "First Diving Anniversary" in my mind.)

Are you coming to the Retreat on Sunday if you get back in time?

Flight doesn't get in til elevenish, so I'd imagine not. Sorry buddy.
