Walking home, on Communist China's equivalent of July the 4th, from the biggest casino in the world, past a Red Army base, with the Sex Pistol's "Anarchy in the UK" playing on my iPod. That was a little surreal.

Home is: Shurik now calls me Jaika. "ka" is the classic Russian pet name suffix.

Things not to say to the artist who happens to be your boot camp coach, when he complains that his harness is chafing:
Other Rigger: "Well, we have a couple of options - we can cross the legs, or add some padding on the straps. Or we can try some padded shorts"
Me: "Or you could just harden the fuck up"
Ji-the-boot-camp-coach:" ... pardon?"
Me: "Harden the fuck up!"
Ji-the-boot-camp-coach:" ... I'm so looking forward to Friday morning now"
Me: " ... fuck."
