Question, for all you who know more about this than I these days. I have a movie file, technically, I suppose, a flash file (.flv). I wish to embed it in an lj post. Yes, it's available on the web. No, I don't want to upload it to Youtube.

The embed command doesn't seem to work, inside an lj entry. Should I be converting it back to mpg/wmv? Or is there some embed magic I need to do?

Short answer: you can't. Because LJ is paranoid with respect to cross-site scripting attacks. Embedding stuff has to be officially sanctioned!

Easiest way to do it is to just not embed it. Put it on a webserver somewhere, and simply link to the file.
