Right.

I should have done this a long time ago. Not that I know anyone in theatre anymore, but I'm looking for occasional, casual LX tech gigs - rigging, focussing, working my way back into board ops. I'll work for free for a while, so ideal for you fringe types who can't afford a real tech, but want someone who does in fact have experience. In the past, professionally, I've done rigging and focussing at the Malthouse (both theatres), crew chief and Ops for a show at the Adelaide Festival (not the Fringe, mark you ;), rigging and focussing for the Adelaide Fringe. So I do in fact know my way round a Bio box.

Inner city gigs would be good - I really can't be arsed going out to the burbs - and at the moment I'm really not interested in design work. Call me, call me now!

Well. Reply to this post, anyway, and spread the word. And I guess if I do get back into it, I'll need to start carrying a mobile. Damn. There goes my phone zen.

And my copious free time :)

sol.

Cluster fuck.

Not as interesting as the title sounds. Sorry.
So I'm planning to take the Pile of Obselete Hardware (or at least, bits of) to work at some point, so I can have a glorious triple monitor desktop, with the joys of x2x, with each monitor on a separate machine, yet each working seamlessly as if on one. But that's another story.

The thrust of this is that I will have an Indy, and Alpha, and a Sun Ultra 1 all going all day. And probably an Acorn. And the *only* logical thing to do is to write some kind of distributed nethack-alike, where each machine is a different world, with different characteristics.

So assuming an overall fantasy setting, what kind of world would each machine be?
