Or gnome.
Probably gnome.
Or my recent forced fsck has... fscked things.
But there's way too much coincidence - it's possible that the symlinks for libesd and libaudiofile (both audio libs) spontaneously decided to point to nonexistent libraries. It's also possible that libgthread, libglib and libgmodule all spontaneously decided not to bother updating themselves when whatever the hell happened, because they *enjoyed* pointing to libgXXX.so.0, and it was too much effort to get used to pointing to libgXXX-1.2.so.0. But I think I really blame WHATEVER THE HELL took out libgXXX.so.0.0, and replaced it with libgXXX-1.2.so.0.0. And when I work out what did it, I'm GOING TO HURT SOMEONE.
I mean, really, what the fuck? The entire FUCKING POINT of having libgthread.so as a symlink to libgthread.so.0.0 is so that you can KEEP a dozen different versions of libgthread-1.X.so.0.0.9.12.SEVENTYFUCKINGTHREE lying around, and Just. Change. The. SYMLINK.
Todays rant is brought to you by Ximian Gnome, I suspect. And if I can prove it, I'm using KDE for the rest of my fucking life, just to spite them.
And while I'm at it, they fucked up Konquerors rendering of Arial.
But hey, it's not like many sites out there use Arial, eh?
Stupid fuckers.
