So much stuff to organise!

Ok. Work continues to be the major bugbear, but:

1) Fire twirling. We have a park down the road from our place, I'll check it out next time I ride past to see if there are concrety, or at least green grassy patches for twirling. Thursday night? Wednesday nights?

2) Scoot Wrenching Some Sunday. Need to co-ordinate a little with [livejournal.com profile] drwally and get firm RSVPs this time.

I can be a conduit for the first, but not so much the second if we're using my shed and tools.

In other news, getting the Spada back on the road and driving a lot at work has inspired me - I actually quite like driving, and I'm not as bad as [livejournal.com profile] spark_au likes to make out, once I'm back up to speed (as it were) with gears, and traffic :) But I have absoutely nowhere to put a car, nor can I really afford one at the moment. Nor would I drive it, for any practical purpose. On the bright side, I think owning a 5 litre V8 would annoy a lot of my hippy friends .... But I think I need to build a chopper for [livejournal.com profile] bunnikins to ride once she gets off the license restrictions. I think she's a cruiser kind of girl, if only so her feet can touch the ground. If you know anyone looking to sell a relatively decent V-twin engine from a mid-sized japanese bike from the last 20 years, let me know, eh?

The last time I tried fire twirling was with an unlit fire-stick, and I managed to blackly boof myself on the forehead.

That was the only time.

So with you on the fire-stick thing; I got sick of thwacking myself on the back of the head & got poi instead. You wanna try those? I can set mine on fire now and everything, but I do have non-fiery ones for practising...

I'm so in for fire-twirling, even if i'm hella out of practice.
And don't listen to Louis re:driving, he's convinced he's the only person on the planet with any skill in the area. *shoots looks at the front room*

So... if I were to sell my 'bike...you'd consider it?

Don't know if I'm looking for an entire bike. I need an engine, running gear, and a rolling chassis. With the possibility, of course, of grey areas about what comes on the chassis, and what's considered running gear. But I want a custom frame, for various reasons.

There's no point paying "registered, RWC" prices for a frame I'm going to throw away. What I suspect I'll do is buy a bike with a totalled front end, for the engine and running gear, and get a custom frame with forks, or possibly pick up forks & front brake gear seperately.

Which will hopefully be cheaper than buying an entire bike.

The real question is, of course, what is your bike? Bearing in mind that I have a totally irrational prejudice against kawasakis ....

Could you please teach me how to firetwirl? I can do it a little bit but I'm not terribly dextrous and could do with some help.

I should be up to riding again soon, so stay in touch about the bike-mending sessions too.

*I* can't twirl :) But I'm sure someone will. X-posting to melbourne_fire once I get day suggestions.

Thank you.

I'm glad that just before he left, Neef firetwirled with me in the backyard. So I have actually lit the stick now :)

Just checking the anvil made it to it's new owner.

Oh, and I'm up for twirling in a month and a bit, once I've settled in and all.

IT did indeed, and caused much amusement as I took it home on the back of the motorbike. I meant to post and say thanks, honest ... :)

Thanks!

It comes pre-eccentrified:

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4602255266

Spada, $400, looks like an ex stunt bike. Seriously considering it although RWC would probably be a pain.

"Item Has Ended."

IF you have Ebay foo that lets you see if it's still available, or whatever, for $400, *I* would buy that, if only for parts.

Nah, looks like it has actually sold. Not surprising, at that price as a buyout. If I'd seen your email in time, seriously, it would be mine.
