Frente. Ignore "Accidentally Kelly St", which the band themselves hate, and I really like Frente. "Ordinary Angels" is also a tad poppy, but "Book Song", "Labour of Love", and "Cuscatlan" I really like. I can forgive them "Bizarre Love Triangle", even.

So there.

I actually like BLT, on the level of 'I like it when people cover a song in such a way that it's done noticeably differently from the original'. The soft floaty pop version of BLT gave it a very different feel.

That said, other parts of me aren't that fussed about it. I just like interesting reinterpretations. I'm trying to think of a suitably wacky example and can only come up with A Perfect Circle's "Ashes To Ashes", A swing version of Front 242's "Headhunter" and old acid jazz outfit Corduroy covering Motorhead.

Is there a reason you're trying to justify listening to all this music? And aren't you a little young for a mid-life crisis? :-P

Closeted much?

Cuscatlan is absolutely one of the most underrated songs out there. It went off at The Corner at the reunion show.

Not that I went. Or a certain two other people of our acquaintance went with me. Oh no.
