Hire me, hire me now!
Nov. 9th, 2004 09:04 amOffers for something other than programming welcome.
the_christian, in his recent post, manages to sum up my current feelings towards mindless manual labour - I'd love it, for a few months.
In the programming arena, something in education would be nice, either K-12 VLE/LMS, or back to a Uni. Or, y'know, that holy grail of games, obviously, but I should probably write my game first :)
Anyway. All serious offers contemplated.

Date: 2004-11-08 04:53 pm (UTC)Are unimelb very strict about closing dates for positions for people as amazingly qualified as me? ;)
Do you know who I should talk to about it? Maybe I'll ring and say "I can have a CV to you tomorrow, and I have Real World Experience (tm) with every buzzword you could imagine!"
Otherwise, yeah, a 12 month contract would do fine - what sort of stuff is it for? Sysprog?

Insert tongue in cheek, post at will.
Date: 2004-11-08 06:50 pm (UTC)It's not worth it... unless you can get somewhere cushy like Latrobe Beechworth campus or somewhere equally funky...
If you're really desperate to get away from Programming, I hear there's a job going in Engineering at Unimelb. :)

Date: 2004-11-08 07:26 pm (UTC)Unis are a nice enough blend, as a programmer, of interesting work and coot-like lack of pressure, I hope. All jobs suck, but I could handle a year at a Uni, I think.
