Thank you for your occasional storms...
Dec. 8th, 2003 07:40 pmI had a fabulous night last night, not least because I was surrounded by talented, gifted, creative people. And it made today a great day (after a somewhat slow start ;), full of moments to give thanks for a good job, a great girlfriend, and again, being surrounded by creativity and talent. And I came home tonight, and Longi *finally* had the CD of a recording session ten years ago of Alexia Peniguel, an acquaintance of mine from Canberra years ago. It's ... stunning. And I had thought that it would invoke another nostalgia attack, for whatever good old days I've invented to cover for the Canberra Years. But, after last night, it doesn't. Because this - here, now - is as good as it gets, and damn it's good, especially when soundtracked by songs you loved ten years ago and haven't heard since.
And if, in this tiny Melbourne, anyone knows Alexia Peniguel, tell her I've got her CD, eh ? And someone give her a recording contract.
