tyggerjaiSomeone pointed out today that the Australian dollar is currently plummeting. When I arrived it was worth about 7.5 Patacas, sometimes 8 on a good day. Today, it is worth 5.3.
For me, this is excellent, because every Pataca I send home today buys me more money in the longterm, assuming the Australian dollar bounces back before I go home. I wish I hadn't paid off all my debt in the early days. Heck, I wish I had a mortgage.
