1) When do you leave?
"Start Date: October 29, 2007 (or as schedule and immigration allow) " They're paying for my ticket, so I'll be leaving, I assume on the 28th, which is a Sunday. The plan at this stage is to spend the week before that in Canberra saying some goodbyes, and then Friday/Saturday in Brisbane, saying other goodbyes, then either fly out of Brisbane, or back to Melbourne. Or Sydney. Whatever.
2) How long are you going for?
It's a 2 year contract, so assuming I can handle it and don't get myself fired, 2 years.
3) What about
bunnikins?
In an ideal world, she'll fly out with me, love Macau, get a job and stay with me. There's a range of options then along the spectrum to her flying over, hating it, and coming straight home. We'll take it as it comes.
4) For real?
Assuming I pass the drugs test and police check, and visa application. I foresee no insurmountable problems with any of those things, despite my earlier freakout about the drugs test. 1 joint in 3 months? I think it'll be ok.
5) What's the actual gig?
Technician - Rigger, for the new Cirque du Soleil permanent show in the Venetian Casino in Macau. Apparently there's a 6-8 *month* bumpin period. After that, I can apparently either do show rigging for the show just bumped in, or swing straight to bumpin for the *second* show, for another 6-8 months, and then do show rigging for that show.
6) Cheap electronics from Hong Kong?
Hell yeah!
