Climbing!

Very soon, I think. I'm busy the next couple of weekends, but maybe around the 8th, if people want to join me. Haven't decided between the Nunawading place or the Altona place, might see what suits people closer to the day.

No experience required - they'll run you through belaying basics. Generally about $30 for a one-off trip with gear hire.

Apropos, vaguely, I'm in the market for a basic set of weights/bar bells. If you have any gathering dust after a misplaced New Years resolution, let me know :)

Change of all plans.

Because, as wingedcorset says, this isn't a job, it's a lifestyle. I am now working Sunday, so scoot wrench is postponed indefinitely. And, of course, working Saturday 7 am, so Saturday's not looking so good.

Climbing - fnoo apparently goes to Altona Friday nights. I may even be able to make that this weekend. Stay tuned.

Aw yeah.

So a while ago, I built a little LED flashy thing. What that post and the next one fail to mention was that I got to the meeting with the guys, and among other things, the LEDs just weren't very bright. Which confused me, because the 6 or so I'd had running at home were ok. So I redid the math on a string of 20, and dropped the resistors from 120 Ohm 1/2 watt to 5.6 Ohm 1 watt.

Much better!

Remember, kids, maths is hard, but not as hard as trying to get by without it!!
