Shared a plane with frou_frou and drzero. Home to find that the boys had neither burned the house down nor defrosted the fridge :)

Stories later. Suffice to say that one of the highlights was a buff chick in skintight lycra rope-dancing to Delibes' "Flower Aria" ("Viens, Mallika") in a 15th century palazzo overlooking the Grand Canal. And an indisputably authentic gondola ride that most tourists don't get, I bet ....
