Accomodation in Venice booked and paid for.
Flights from Melbourne to London to Venice and back, booked.

Loan to pay for said flights applied for.
The man at the bank was very nice, he said "You'll want to max out the loan term now, so your monthly repayments are as small as possible, so we're more likely to give you the loan. Then, if you want to up th payments to reduce the interest, there's no penalty for that." Which is exactly what I want - pay the loan off at $75 a month between now and when we go, to maximise savings for spending money, then ramp it up to a grand a month when I get back, and pay it off in 6 months. In time to apply for the next one :)

Man. It's all happening. Remind me to apply for a passport.

Apropos of nothing, honest, I need a rabbit brooch or two. Disposable, or at least destroyable, so we're looking at the few-dollar range here. I'll be checking out the cheap asian places on Smith St, evidently, but does anyone know, off the top of their head, a source for cheap, not-too-tacky-unless-it's-tacky-in-a-cool-way rabbit brooches?

Don't ask what for. My lips are sealed.

You pushbike riders. Any old chain kicking around?

Presumably old, broken chain isn't so hard to find at a bike repair shop?
