Wow.

So it's not the getting to venice that's pricey, it's the carnevale itself. Talk about a tourist trap :)
$860 AU for the Bal delDogo. PEr person. Plus costume hire, natch.

Ah well. The joys of a disposable income. That sounds like the most exciting ball to go to - maybe we'll just do that one and a lot of coffee :)

Balls.

So. The last few nights, in lieu of actual sleep, I've been lying awake designing a marble run. Because I need a new project - I'm in danger of finishing some of my existing ones ! Mine is cooler than that, though, natch. And, of course, I'm building it from scratch from copper pipe, pneumatics and bits of old computers, because I can. Or rather, because I think I can. Which leads me to my question - anyone have ideas on where to get 1/2 inch diameter stell ball bearings/marbles? Presumably a ball-bearing/marble shop, but y'know, apart from the obvious.

Anyone know if you can still get N20 (or CO2) bulbs for soda siphons? Or other cheap, small, compressed gas canisters like that? One shot/disposable is ok, if they're cheap.
