What happened?
Sep. 25th, 2002 10:01 amI used to be a rising star.
Even though monash annoyed the hell out of me, and was becoming a crappy place to work, I was in an architectural role, with a future, and a career path.
Not that the career path is important per se, but it's the stuff that looks good on a resume, and is the stuff I enjoy doing - just not for Monash.
Now, I'm doing tech support for people who don't know what a browser is, and spending my days tweaking Excel spreadsheets so column a is left-justified and column b is centred.
Sure, the money's good, but it's safe to say this is not where I wanted to end up.
Where did I go wrong?
Not that I'm really bitching - honest, thorf - but I'm starting to think this may have been a mistake. Oh well.
Enjoy the money, switch my care factor off over summer, and start again next year, I guess.
IT *is* serving to remind me that there's more to life than work, though, I'll grant.
