You know you're an unwell geek when....
You decide it's time to upgrade your server.
You run "make buildworld". You go to run "make installworld". It dies, for a reason you *should* have noted in the docco.
You then fix *half* the problem, and run make installworld again.
It dies.
You start running make buildworld again. Ten seconds in , you realise you missed half the fix, so you stop make buildworld. (FreeBSD geeks now see where this is going.)
You make the other half of the fix.
Then you run make *install*world, and wonder why it dies.
It's not till the next morning that you remember that the first thing the aborted make buildworld did was erase enough stuff to make installworld pointless.
The fact that I did it means I'm tired and unwell.
The fact that I didn't *realise* what I'd done until the next day probably means I need a holiday.

On the bright side, fatcat now forwards mail for acg.tygger.net to the imap server, which now does MySQL based auth/domain receipt, so I can hook, say, an authenticated web-based news-reader/journal system up to the same db, so I'm only tracking one set of accounts that does mail, news, journal, and anything else I want to hook up. Ideally, the auth stuff would be LDAP, but hey. Little steps, till it's all up and running.
The fact that I find that exciting means I need to get out more.
